How we build the tools
Local media processing
Image and GIF ASCII files are decoded, rendered and exported in your browser instead of being uploaded for conversion.
Verifiable methods
Technical claims link to the library or open standard that supports them.
Editorial and technical method
Tool descriptions are written from the behavior available on the page and are reviewed when the implementation changes. The ASCII media tools use Pretext for typographic glyph preparation, browser Canvas for rendering, and GIF frame timing for animated export.
